BIO
Olivia Villanueva from San Antonio,TX who has come to know that there are no limits to the power of the brush. My abstract paintings are filled with life from daily living, alive with my emotions of hope. The figurative abstract paintings from my red series are self portraits, a reflection of the sensuality and spirit of a woman, more voluptuous and a realistic portrayal of a Latina. In my paintings I have created with all the emotions a woman experiences, whether it be an attraction to another, the love a mother has for her children or ones own indepenence. Although my paintings may not have a face may they come across as unforgettable, just as a love that is always on ones mind, an emotional exchange of energy. Just as a circle is infinate, so is the role of a woman.
RESUME
Statement:
Art and Love
Art is mere translation, or abstraction from my thoughts feelings that come from life. I love to paint passionately, and because I love it, I must free my hands from all its habits and tradition to create anew. Figurative, form, and the free will to paint is life itself, for there are always changes in life. I no longer feel the need of seeking out anew for painting. Because I am an artist and I am certain that anew follows with every paint stroke that I take. Art and creativity is your own experience.
