The artist possesses a fascination for the human figure. Villarreal has dedicated her style in sculpture and painting by expressing the emotional aspects of individuals by executing different figurative forms.
Villarreal builds up the figurative form by applying forceful yet sensual gestures onto paper. Showing a spontaneity of Abstract Expressionism.Ý The sculptures challenge a traditional approach in executing the human form made out of bronze.
